Character Concordance

Here's the Character Concordance (last update: 5:26 pm May 30, 2005)

Here is the Plot Convergence (last update: 5:26 May 30, 2005)

  • Geez dude, I haven't even put in my contribution yet!

    By Anonymous gillian, at 5/29/2005 05:16:00 p.m.

  • One correction is that Lee does not live in 344 North, and therefore cannot be Wes's neighbour alnogside Jill.

    By Blogger Corinne, at 5/29/2005 05:44:00 p.m.

  • I thought Lee was Jill's roommate?

By Blogger Lowly Scribe, at 5/29/2005 05:54:00 p.m.

  • I don't think Jill has a roommate.

Lee and Mark were once upon a time roommates, but Lee moved "back". Whereever that may be.

  • Somebody clarify this for me please. There's a post below called "Lee's Roommate" and is specifically about Jill. I read that to mean that Jill is Lee's roommate.

    Did I overlook something?

  • PS: I didn't mean that post to sound as grumpy. Oops.

  • Thanks for doing this Troy! If anyone puts together a similar cheat sheet in future, please also publish it. This will obviously need updating as the plot thickens and ever more characters are added to our pool.

  • Someone needs to introduce a gog or cat to this story. I think I might give it a try.

He can be a peripheral character who shows up now and then to tie loose ends in the plot together.

  • er, dog i mean.

    By Blogger Aaron, at 5/30/2005 12:32:00 a.m.

  • A, uh, Dog Ex Machina, you mean?

    /baaaaaad, I know.

    By Blogger Gillian, at 5/30/2005 01:38:00 p.m.

  • I have a dog in the works for Gurpreet and Mark's stories named Rajah...

    By Blogger Corinne, at 5/30/2005 02:35:00 p.m.

  • And Lee's Roommate was about Mark getting a name and connecting everyone back to each other.

    Lee's roommate was Mark.

  • I was also thinking of introducing an animal, in this case a cat (looks like someone's already taken care of the gog..er, dog). ;)

  • The distilled character info was really useful. Thank you. I think it'll be a great starting point for the wiki that Gillian's working on (and that way it's not all up to you!).

    By Blogger Briana, at 5/31/2005 11:19:00 p.m.

  • Question: does anyone have a distilled chart of information we already know about the central building itself?

    By Blogger stodmyk, at 6/08/2005 01:27:00 p.m.

  • Sorry to ask again, but I need to know for the piece I'm writing now: does anyone have a notefile on the building or street itself? I don't want to trod on any details I may have missed in reading through other stories.

Secondary question: should we even worry about continuity in our posts, or will people change their pieces accordingly after eagle-eyed readers spot disagreements in detail?

    By Blogger stodmyk, at 6/15/2005 08:32:00 a.m.

  • My opinions is that we should do our best to be consistent, but that there's room for change and interpretation. I do think we should point out inconsistencies in the comments of future stories and that writers should correct them if pointed out, but we shouldn't be obsessed about it. This is an experiment and it's meant more for fun than anything.

As for the building, I don't think there's any official description of it. The apartments can't be too expensive because some poorer tenants have already been housed in the building, it is somewhere in Vancouver (but we haven't yet established which community I think), I don't think an elevator has been mentioned so it could be a walk-up. The manager is Keith Prosser but the owner is Tony Tsui. The address is 344 North Avenue and the foyer has green and gold tile of some kind, but the floor is also described as dusty green faux-marble tiles. The front door is glass. The walls are thin enough to hear an alarm clock go off in the neighbourhing suite.
